Can I ask why I have seen a surge in users denied support and banned members lately? Or did I miss something?

I have the same question about banned members. Especially, regular members like Booher, pyridine, etc. Sad
The better question would be why there has been a surge, if there has been one at all, of people breaking the rules. If people are banned or denied support it is because they have done something to warrant it.
I myself sometimes wonder how big users, such as Labrocca, have the denied support message.
Whilst their forums are legit and contain the minimum "power by" lines.

Apart from the fact he own's one of the largest hacking forums on the internet?

Forums dealing with hacking/cracking and pornography are denied support.

What I don't understand is, why users with proper forums are denied support?

If they have one hacking forum but five normal forums, they are denied for the one hacking forum.

What I don't understand is, why this is public concern?

The "denied support" & banned users are the business of the staff, and should remain between those users and the staff.

Anyone banned, staff had their reasons. And anyone with "denied support", can take it up with the private inquiries.

We're not discussing to change.
We are talking about the "why/how"

I understand that logic. But I can see why the majority of members would disagree with for example Labrocca being denied support. I know people would say "why change regulations for one member?". Well, this one member donated thousands to MyBB and has helped lots of people. Not creating arguments, just explaining why some members would feel aggrieved.

Not that Labrocca really needs support.
