I was trying to make my custom site when i found out that i was not able to get the total amout of posts, topic or users any help?

{$stats['numposts']} - Number of Posts
{$stats['numthreads']} - Number of Threads
{$stats['numusers']} - Number of Registered users

however those are php variables which can be used only in few places where it has the scope...

Any way to get it to work on a custom php page following this tutorial?
