Hello,

I was playing around with usergroups and when you try to update a group and have remove the {username} from the "username style" field you're supposed to get an error, which you get but it says:

The usergroup has successfully been updated.
Because you entered an invalid name style it has been reverted to the default.

I don't see how this is a bug?

It was designed to be that way, so it's not a bug. However, if you want it to stop from reverting back to the default, then that would be a suggestion.

Edit: I've changed this in 1.4 for it to be an actual error. But I will leave it as is in the 1.2.x branch because that was the way it was designed.
