I have been getting lots of spam due to Powered By Mybb In the footer. I do pay respect to the community for creating mybb so I will leave it intact. But is there anyway we can pay and remove it from the site and still keep the forum legal.
You can always change it to use an image
I'm fairly sure that's allowed.
You can remove it if you want, but we won't support you.

The advise is good there, and I think will also apply to your case... or just put an image as suggested.
