So since 1.6 is no longer supported I'll post this here and see if anyone can assist.
I own a forum which is on 1.6.15 and I don't want to go to 1.8.

I tried to use the old merge system and got the following error -

I run mybb 1.6 and wants to run merge system for merging two mybb forums but on this page its only 1.8 merge system, I don't want to upgrade my mybb 1.6 to 1.8 for merging for some reasons. Please attach a copy of old version of merge system if anyone have. Thanks

I am getting that error whenever I try to merge MyBB to MyBB.

Hello, how do i merge two mybb forums into one. I have the database of the forum that i need to import. Im aware of this: http://docs.mybb.com/Running_the_Merge_System
But the question is, how do i import the database, to my existing one? Cause i just tried using the merge system, and it has no option to upload the database for it to merge. I need help, asap.

Like what do i need to do on phpadmin, a simple guide would help me dearly.

1 users are importing right now. There are 0 users left to import and 0 pages left.

Anyone have any fix for that? I tried the phpbb fix but that didn't work. It's looping there... No way to cancel it. I really don't wish to start over importing 50k members :/

I checked in the MYBB user panel; the last user did successfully make the merge. So whatever that 1 is... It's a complete phantom.

I am trying to migrate from PHPBB3 to MYBB from long time. At first had database connecting issue. Now once it has got connected I am getting the following error. Please help

MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue.

SQL Error:

1054 - Unknown column 'username' in 'where clause'

Has anybody had any success converting from IP Board 3.1.4 to MyBB.

According to the Merge System: http://www.mybb.com/download/merge-system/ It only supports Invision Power Board 2.1, 2.2, or 2.3?

IP Board 2.3 was released in 2007! Are the merge system docs just out of date?

I am trying to use merge-system from bbpress & buddypress to Mybb, trouble as below:

1) bbpress sql database is together with in my wordpress sql database, so I put all the hostname and username.... However, got error due to "forum database does not exceed"?
2) Is that not support for bbpress version 2.5.4 ?

login password conversion plugin question

Hi,

I merged my forum from phpbb (iirc) almost 3 years ago. I still have the login password conversion plugin installed and activated.

Is it possible to run a db query to see whose password were not converted to the mybb system after the conversion?

I'm trying to reduce my plugin list as much as possible for when mybb 1.8 is released and would like to get rid of this plugin if a majority of my users - I assume 95% or better should be good to go - have been converted.

So here's an almost perfect IPB3 to MyBB converter.. The only issue remains still is the UTF8 converter issue where you get HTML in the posts after conversion. Which i will probably continue to try to figure it out after i get some sleep.

Changelog:
-Added a default value of 1000 to Private Messages page 
(prevents having to erase the 0 and entering in another value)

-Fixed the Settings file
(Now searches the correct config database tables + works)

-Fixed Forum Permissions errors when trying to convert them

and since i was gonna post this once and then accidentally closed to tab and closed notepad i don't have the original changelog i had made so i just brought up what i remember doing. I may have done a few more things but its 4AM and im tired.

The only issue still remaining is the UTF8 HTML in posts after converting. I might continue trying to fix that after i get some sleep but that's the only issue left that i know of. I was NOT able to test the calendar converter though as im too lazy to go download IP Calendar and install it. The only reason i did this much to the converter is cause i wanted to fix it as much as possible for the conversion i needed to do.

But if i can fix this entirely then ill release the rest of it here as well. Wasn't sure where to post this thread.

Fixed a lot of problems, Just the UTF8 issue left that i know of.

Big side note: I was comparing the IPB3 beta module and the IPB2 converter module and the IPB3 Beta module was based off of the IPB2 Module but lots has changed since IPB2. So that may be why we're continuing to get these problems but i'll keep conducting my research on a solve for this.

And guys, There's nothing fishy about the merge system i have in the attatchments. It's a copy i got off the main mybb page tonight + the beta module link above with some code changes to make it work. If your too worried it's backdoored or something use Winmerge and go through it yourself. It's safe and clean.

Install the merge system as normal.

phpbb2 merge - user id problem

Hello everyone!

I've just migrated my old forum based on phpBB2 to myBB using the Merge System. I didn't have any problems with that, however the result is not exactly what I expected.

The users has been copied from my old table phpbb_users to mybb_users correctly. However, they've got a new id, not the same as in the phpbb_users table.

Could you advice me how to change the marge script in order to keep previous users id from phpbb_users table?

On the first step I installed phpbb3 and tried conversion old base to new base in phpbb3 in instalation window. It was succesfull. But thread and forum topic are in this same place on front page. Check screen:

When i open site to forum i saw "Forum is closed." but when i was logged in its works. Maybe i doing something wrong. Anybody can show Me what i must to do to merge old forum to new?

Is it possible old base is too old to merge?

Migration from PhpBB3 and SQL Error #1265

Hello and thanks for your time. I am triyng to complete the migration of my forum in PhpBB3 to MyBB with the Merge tool. MyBB and Merge with the last stable versions. I have no problems with the configuration of the database settings as you can see in the next print screen:

But call my attention that "database settings" is crossed with a line in all the modules.

When I run the users module, I have the following error:

If I am understanding well, the values in the database of PhpBB3 are not the same of the values of the MyBB database. I'm assuming that some values exceeds the ones on the MyBB database. Is that right?

Reversing the mods of PhpBB3 but the problem persist. Also try to change the values of MyBB database entries to varchar, but that gave me an error; is not allowed for this kind of variables.

But don't work either. I just have 30 users to move in the database. This is not a considerable amount of information for the server I guess.

It's maybe a problem with values on PhpBB3 database that exceeds the ones on the MyBB? Or some problem with special characters in the name of the users like "_" or the large of the nicknames?
