To add links, go into the Templates & Style tab and into the Novus theme templates. Find Header Templates > header and, where you see the 'Search, Member List, Calendar, Help' links, copy one and paste it where you want it in that link group. You can remove the icon if you don't need it but, if you do, the icons are part of the Silk set at FamFamFam.

Can you explain what's wrong with the editor? There is no true WYSIWYG editor in MyBB by default but if no buttons are showing at all, that's a problem.

Thank you for replying. The editor isn't showing up at all, nor are the smilies. Perhaps in the switch I have forgotten to activate something, but I'm really not sure what it could have been.

That's the header content where you said I could find the links. Clearly none of them are there. Instead, I find all of them in the welcomeblock templates, but when I add the links in any of those they do not make any change to the appearance of the navigation. I hope that explains my problem better.

finally i fixed the js conflict that's hides the post editor/quick reply..

How can i remove the word "quote" and one horizontal line under the word "quote" during usage of quote tag..

/inc/class_parser.php

but i am unable to recognize the code for removing word quote

Ah, sorry about that, Cjanz. That reply was off the top of my head; I should've checked beforehand to make sure I had the templates right. Have you tried adding the links to both the header_welcomeblock_guest and header_welcomeblock_member templates? That might be why they're not showing up.

As for the editor, I'll register on your forum to see what's going on there.

Yes cookie free domain will increase the load speed of page by removing unwanted cookie queries
google/yahoo and all popular sites are using it, then whyn't us(mybb community users).
