Not trying to bump an old thread but I just wanted to say that I have had a few people contact me about this exact same issue. They used chrome, and cleared their cache, and tried other browsers, Nothing worked. Not all members just a couple... Seems to only happen to new members. Which is a pretty big problem. :/

If its specific to a browser it is likely a verion of it (or plugin within it) sending incorrect $_POST data. Considering it's not been reported much, it is likely to be a user end problem under specific circumstances, not a problem with mybb
