Setting up for a merge later
Detailed description of the problem:
I installed okay, but when I did I used the database that the current forums are using. Since I want to convert from phpBB3 to MyBB, it seems to me now that I should have specified a different data base. So how do I undo this in order to start over? How do I unlock the install folder? URL to your forum/URL to specific problematic page: http://pokemondungeon.com/ghpf/ http://pokemondungeon.com/mybb/ Forum system you are converting from: phpBB3 Relevant debug logs: n/a Screenshot or error text, verbatim: n/a MyBB 1.6.5 MyBB Merge 1.6.2 MySQL 5.0.45 |

RE: Setting up for a merge later
OK, a slightly different question.
None of this was covered in the instructions to either, but when you plan to merge/import a forum later and are at the point to create a data base, but already have one, do you create a new database anyway? This may be obvious to some people, but it isn’t to people who have only been running a forum for a few months. |

RE: Setting up for a merge later
You need the MyBB forum you're merging to and the database you're merging from, nothing else.

RE: Setting up for a merge later
So it’s okay to have both phpbb3 files and mybb files in the same database when I complete the merge?
