IRC Channel
I know some of you are IRC idlers or use IRC a fair bit for whatever reason so i've decided to set up an IRC channel for MyBB (well, I've been idling in it for months but have only just decided to reister it).

You can join to talk about MyBB, or just plain chat. Just keep it civilised.

If you're new to IRC you will be needing an IRC client. Personally for Windows I recommend mIRC, http://www.mirc.com. It's very easy to set up and get running..

Network: irc.msgplus.net
Channel: #mybb

irc://irc.msgplus.net/mybb

Alternatively, if you have a Java-enabled web browser, you can easily join our chat via this page: http://www.dennistt.net/irc/mybb.php

It's on the Messenger Plus! IRC network as I idle there a fair bit and it is ran by some friends of mine.

Hope to see some of you there. Smile

RE: IRC Channel
For most Linux platforms, I recommend the use of KVIrc Smile.

RE: IRC Channel
For Windows, I'd actually recommend HyrdraIRC. I've found it a bit better than mIRC personally.

RE: IRC Channel
It's good to see some people around.

A few people come in looking for me to find they can't find me. I'm there as either surfichris or fishy (depending on which machine I'm using - or maybe both if they are on at the same time).

You should find me right up the top of the channel list as I'm the founder.

To get my attention - mention surfichris, chris, fishy etc otherwise I won't notice. I have my main IRC window focused in another channel most of the time.

If you're up for a general chat channel there is also #Banana on the network which is fairly active.

Chris

Lol Azed Quakenet is a different network than MsgPlus. If you use mIRC, you can type:

/server -m irc.msgplus.net

That command would connect to irc.msgplus.net in a new server window, so you can converse on both servers.

If you're using the Otfans java chat though I don't think you can connect to a different server.
