I use the paperclip often on a variety of forums...take for example here when I view the plugins release page. Something with a paperclip with catch my attention.

I like it as well, I use it often to check how many attachments there are. I may be a minority in that sense, but hey, it's true. I would like to see it stay.

I have always ignored it. What is its purpose? I think it is useless. Just a burden on a database as it has to remember it.

most of these people could not state a reason to keep it other than "it's already there"
