WordBB - WordPress / MyBB integration

I was exited for this bridge but is all buggy.

Dunno if this is liable for a "revival", but I'm having a bit of a problem with the plugin.

On the top, it says "MyBB root folder does not exist," meaning that it can't find the folder (even though I even put the whole cPanel path to the forum); is anyone else having this problem?

That is a common error though with a easy fix. Usually you would have to put in the whole thing home/accountname/public_html/directory/subfolder/ thats if you have your forum under a seperate section. I'll try to dig up an easier way to find the root path, has to do with creating a new php file with a simple script that you go to in which it shows you the correct path. I'll post it up here when I find it.

Hi friends,I'm a new Italian member of MyBB community,i've got a myBB 1.4.10 forum and 1 blog with wordpress 9.1. Now i want to integrate wp and mybb with wordbb but i don't know why this plugin doesn't work.It doesn't say me any error but when i click Create Thread(in wordbbpost) it doesn't create anything.I complete alle the options page and it doesn't say me anything.

To view the absolute root path, create a new php file in the MyBB root tree with the following code

PHP Code:

<?php 
echo $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']; 
?>

Then browse to that file (ie http://www.domain.com/forum/newfile.php)

it will show you your forums absolute path.

Just a blank PHP file or fill it in with anything?

Wow, I just fixed the "MyBB Root not found" error... didn't know there had to be a backslash at the beginning. x.x;

Be sure to check if you have directed WordBB to create a new thread within a board on your MyBB forum, these options are located towards the bottom of the options screen. It should also have a section of the MyBB member that you want to be the thread creator. Another thing to check is under Wordpress options in the User section is to put in the MyBB user name associated with your Wordpress user name.

I need help, appear:


* MyBB global.php file not found. Check your MyBB root folder path!
* Default post author username does not exist on MyBB


PS: If I put the absolute path of my forum appear that "MyBB Root not found" if I put / appear the error of above.
