Wrote: In response to your PM, as in an RSS reader for your computer, there are plenty of them available and most modern browsers now have one built in so simply navigate to the feed URL and see if it displays properly or if it 404's. It does seem to work fine. So if I have to replace the plugin, I basically have to replace the code? What do I do next if the RSS feed is ok and my host says everything is fine?? I am assuming the plugin is gone at this point. Thanks http://www.asianadventures.org |

RE: What is your experience with the RSS to Post plugin?
Part of a PM I sent:
I just tested it on my localhost and it worked fine, and I'm using 1.4.11. If you copy your exact files onto a localhost installation and enabled allow_url_fopen, I could almost guarantee it would work. There is something going on with your host. Try this, go to ACP > Tools & Maintenance > PHP Info > search for allow_url_fopen... what do the values next to it say?? On or off?? Download My Plugins My Personal Site - Twitter |

Any word on why google group rss feeds will not work? I can get lots of others to work, but the google groups one is the most important one unfortunately

RE: What is your experience with the RSS to Post plugin?
im having the same problem
Cache Error Date: Fri, 10 Jun 2011 18:38:49 +0000 URL: honda-tech.com/external.php?type=RSS2&forumids=16 Forum ID: 26 User ID: 9 Strip HTML: 1 There was a problem accessing the URL. Either the server is offline, or your server has allow_url_fopen disabled. Please see: http://ca3.php.net/manual/en/filesystem....-url-fopen and contact your host to resolve this issue. This is my server Configuration PHP Core Directive Local Value Master Value allow_call_time_pass_reference On On allow_url_fopen On On allow_url_include Off Off always_populate_raw_post_data Off Off arg_separator.input & & arg_separator.output & & asp_tags Off Off auto_append_file no value no value auto_globals_jit On On I even tried the other rss feed poster and nothing is working. If you find a solution let me know. I found the solution to my problem. I think you should check yours also. make sure http://www. is infront of the feed names. |
