Help on Spicefuse Shoutbox 1.1beta 1

i have successfully installed Shoutbox on my index page


i need to modify it
1. modification - i want to enter the text just below shoutnow see


how to do this

and secondly
i want to add smilies to my sb, like a Shout Now! Button another button like it is with caption-Smilies and as soon as any1 click it ,it either transfer me to my misc.php?action-smilies or any other way it open's above or below like expanding or contracting

Sorry I didnot touch that plugin previously,

Yet I know that it will add template edits in header_template for adding the line of text just below the shout input box. You can edit it their.

For Button: You have to add Button Image like

Well for smilies there's a thread somewhere. Search for it.
But I would suggest using MyShoutbox 1.2.

Thanx faviouz i tired myshoutbox but its a little complicated to me i am gonna stick to a simple sb thank you

hey Ghazal u gave half of the answer for the later part u just told me how to make a button tht's cool ,but which file i should make edit into
because spicefuse shoutbox comes with two files
and inc and jscripts
which file to edit and where

and for the first part header template doesn't solve my problem -
see again hope u get it clear now

For Button: Go to Admin CP > Themes and Styles > Templates > Your Theme's templates > Header Templates > header > Edit > and add that code just after the shoutbox Button code.

For Text: add the line of text (that you want to display their just beneth the shout input box) in the same header template Just after the input box code.

Header template? The SpiceFuse Shoutbox's templates aren't in the header templates. They're in Global Templates, they're easy to recognize as they'll be named with something like "sf_shoutbox" or something.

sf_shoutbox and sf_shoutbox full

Admin CP>Templates & Style>Templates>Global Templates>sf_shoutbox
Before the closing tag </td>, in line 13, is where you can put your text.
Note that it must be between </form> and </td> (both closing tags).

Try using myshoutbox again, it is made out of this.
