RE: transferring to a new host
Not really sure how I'd know how to change your host password as I have no idea what host you use, but we'll see if you can upgrade it yourself first... make sure all of your files are from the 1.4.8 package, then go to the upgrade page, choose 1.2.12 from the list, and run through the wizard.

And are you sure all of your files, particularly the ./install/ files, are from the 1.4.8 package??

RE: transferring to a new host
Thanks, turned out they were wrong lol

RE: transferring to a new host
Type (your URL)/admin into your browser's address bar to get to the ACP.
From there, go to Configuration -> General Configuration and change the Board URL field to your new URL. |

do you know if there's anywhere in a cpanel or anything where I can change these settings please? I thought it might be the config file but I found nothing there ![]() EDIT: Ita's ok thanks I just found it was the settings file

Remember to change them again in the ACP straight after...

RE: transferring to a new host
I've done that lol
but is it normal when changing the nameservers of my domain to be able to access the new site from the domain and then 5 minutes later not be able to access it? it's been like this on and off for hours, and when the site does display it is without any theme. Also when the site doesn't display I still get the old site, and that works and displays everything as normal lol and just now I could access the new site through the domain, and it worked without the theme, and then I tried to access the admincp to try and correct this and it redirected me to my old hosts website after saying the page cannot be found
