French language pack problem

In my admin panel of MyBB 1.4.10, in the "Paramètres" section, in place of all the accents, I see a � or ?. Why is this?

EDIT :
J'ai installé MyBB 1.4.10 anglais en local (XAMMP). Puis j'ai mis les fichiers du langpack fr.
Tout me semble fonctionner correctement !?
Peut-être un souci d'encodage de la base ?

Je pense que c'est un problème avec mon hébergeur. J'ai déjà eu ce genre de problème. Mais si ça peut aider, voici deux captures d'écran que j'ai pris de mon ACP.

Comme il est possible de le constater, parfois c'est des ? à la place des accents, parfois c'est ces étranges �.

Mais le souci (si l'on peut dire), c'est que je n'arrive pas à reproduire ce comportement !!!

Chez moi, tout est OK.
Je suppose que c'est un problème d'hébergeur ou plus précisément un problème d'encodage au niveau de la BD ?

Tous les fichiers sont en UTF-8, y compris /admin/config_settings.lang.php, comme cité dans le screenshot.

Le seul truc, c'est que je crois que j'ai enregistré par erreur /inc/languages/french/admin/config_settings.lang.php en UTF-8 avec signature Unicode (BOM), mais je pense que ça n'a aucune importance, en tout cas dans mon cas...

A part ça, je ne vois qu'un souci d'encodage.

Est-ce que dans "Outils et Maintenance", onglet "Conversion UTF-8", toutes les tables sont bien en UTF-8 ?

This is a nasty problem. You can work around it by replacing the accented letters in the corresponding language file by their HTML entities. That is, replace an é by é and è by è and so forth.

Quelques uns ne l'étaient pas. Je les ai changés, mais à aucun effet.

I stopped looking for other ways when I noticed this works. Indeed, it is a bit tedious to replace all accented characters by their HTML entities, but this only needs to be done in settings.lang.php, right? Also, you could simply search and replace é by é and so on.
