MySupport now in use on MyBB.com

As you may have already noticed, MySupport is now being used in the supports forums (1.4 and 1.6 general support, and merge system support) here.

First off, I'll just clear some things up. You may be thinking that this violates our policy of 'we run what you run'. This is still true in the sense that the version of MyBB we run is the same as the version you run, however now we may add plugins here to show how well, easily and extensively MyBB can be modified and extended, if said modifications also benefit this forum. I.e., we won't be adding general plugins to just add lots of new features to the forum; MySupport has a specific use for this forum, to help with support, but also gives us the chance to show what MyBB can do.

This plugin is owned/was written by me as opposed to the MyBB Group, and it's freely available for you to use too. I wrote it primarily to be used here to help with support, that was it's main intention, but I also wanted to release it to the general public to use too.

The plugin adds various features to the support forums to help with us giving support, and also to help users themselves. Staff and users can mark their thread as solved so we know what is and isn't solved just by scrolling down the forum display, and you can mark threads as unsolved if you still need help. By default the status is displayed as an image as it's designed to be discreet, however you can choose to show it as text in your User CP options. If you are the author of a support thread, you can choose a post as the best answer in the thread, the post that solved the thread for you. This highlights said post in green, and adds a star to the forum display which will jump straight to the post, so other users can go straight to the solution. Inside the thread, staff posts are highlighted to give more distinction to staff posts (in addition to the usergroup image) so you can quickly see a staff post when viewing the thread. In your User CP, there is a new option down the left menu to view all of your support threads, where you can see the status of them, and also see a basic overview of all your support threads. Your last 5 support threads also show on your User CP home page. Us staff can assign threads to other staff (or ourselves) to help handle load and make sure threads are being attended to. We can also easily call for help from a developer if we need extra help, by marking a thread as technical, so devs can quickly see what threads they need to have a look at. We also have more control over denying users support to help make sure the rules are being followed. Soon, new features such as adding a URL and test user account login details directly in fields in the thread, and messages advising users to read the Wiki etc will be added to furthermore help with giving support.

If you have any questions/comments/feature suggestions/bugs etc, feel free to post them in this thread. It may still be a bit buggy as new bugs will arise as it's being used so actively, but bear with me and I'll get them sorted. If you find any security issues with this plugin, please do the sensible thing and report it to a member of staff immediately.
