ME- I installed the copy of Mybb 1.6 on my website but when i added catagorys and topics i then went to my forums and tryed to go to a page and found out that i cant.

the pages come out as this for whatever the catagory and topic.

Topic in the catagory Main Coding forums the topic is called General Discussion here is the link i get http://sites7coding.co.cc/forums/forum-5.html and the result i get Not Found

The requested URL /forums/forum-5.html was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

its like that for any catagory and any topic.

EDIT: It works just fine in archive mode but not in the full version.

ME- ok i renamed htaccess and i now get this error.

forumdisplay is there.

how do i fix this one?Can anyone help me???? I cannot find a way to repair this can anyone help me please? This is urgent.

Sorry for double post but the other thread got buried and i still need help this is urgent.

No i have not.

This is still the original with 2 themes and the topics and catagorys.

Have you not tried a re-install and adding the themes again? you could then edit your config file back to the old database and any code error that could be causing this would be wiped away.

I didnt do anything to the forum system yet except adding 2 themes and the catagorys and topics all of witch are there.

I have not installed anything else yet so i dont see the need to reinstall. I had a copy that i had used before on koolserve witch runs just fine.

I might try to use the one from koolserve that i have just edit the config and see if it works.

It has a load of mods on that one anyway.

Well I don't understand how there could be a problem then unless it is server related, it could be the way your host handles url's or something of the sort. Either that or a problem with your .htaccess file.

No its not.

The copy on Koolserve is different and when i used the database it all came up the same and the topics still wouldnt load so its somthing in the database.

I had used softaculous to install it. Ill try re-installing it only this time ill do it myself.

Try this:
Go into your admin panel, and go to the Configuration tab. Go into the "Server and Optimization Options" settings group. Change the first option to disabled. If your forums then load, it is a problem with your .htaccess file.

OK i have installed A FRESH COPY AND THE SAME PROBLEM IS STILL THERE.

Ok thank you it does load now. It didnt matter what the htaccess was but thank you so much. Now to get back and fix the forum i removed lol.

Are you sure it is not server related? I have never had a crazy issue like this on a near fresh install.
