im using MyShoutbox and it only wants to post or show the posts in the popup option not the normal option.

anyway to fix this if not is their a shoutbox that is compatible with 1.6 that works with no problems?

do you mean that it is not working on the index page ? if so try deactivate & re-activate it
if you have google translate bar OR some other similar plugin installed then that might be conflicting
