Sorry for this quite stupid but funny question:
Do you ever see the desktop background while using your computer?
1. YES - I see my wallpaper)
You do not have windows open - so you're not working. Shut down the system for energy saving
2. YES - I see my wallpaper on one of a couple of my displays)
There is no need to use an extension display. A useless display can be switched off
3. YES - I want to see my desktop wallpaper)
There are very cheaper solutions. Print + frame this picture and hang it on a desired wall.
4. NO - My display(s) are in use with content)
Why the hell did you set up a background image that needs rendering and wasting system ressources?
