I'd like to show forum affiliates (located above the footer) on the index page only. If a user navigates to any other page, the affiliates code will be hidden from view.

Is this possible?

Sure, just add the code to the index template instead of the footer.

i used a tutorial on adding a sidbar for this and adjusted the css slightly you can see the result in my forums above the advanced statistic the tutorial for adding side bar is located on mybb forums somewhere
