My site hasn't been getting lots of traffic lately so I have been contemplating on getting google adwords or facebook advertising. Does anyone know if they are worth it?

Waste of money if you ask me. There's so much you can do to promote your site without spending money...

That's what I thought too... I'll see what I can do without paying for services.

If you do go with ads though, I'd buy an ad spot in other forums, rather than using a service like AdWords or AdSense.

Just checked and they ask 250 USD a month... I might as well spam PM members on forums instead of paying 250 US dollars per month..

Facebook advertising is a big waste of money.
