I've just tried to upgrade to the latest update
and am getting the below error
Data Cache Building
Fatal error: Call to undefined method datacache::update_threadprefixes() in /home/lottopos/public_html/forum/install/upgrade.php on line 598

Oh, silly me. I've been seeing so many of these 1.6.4 upgrade issues that I automatically link them to that post.
What's actually wrong here is that you haven't uploaded all the files in the MyBB package. Re-upload all of the files so it overwrites the existing ones.

The file I uploaded was changed_files1604a.zip
do I upload mbb_1604.zip ?
No, no, no. Don't download those. The files you downloaded were a small update to 1.6.4 itself, because there were a few bugs originated by the original 1.6.4 update. You only needed to download those if you were already running the original 1.6.4 copy.
But since you're upgrading from 1.6.3, you can safely download the latest copy from the downloads page which has been updated to reflect these change. Download it, upload and overwrite
all the files and then run the upgrade script again.

I down-loaded changed_files1604a.zip
I removed the lock and uploaded the inc & install
then go through the install process that's when I get the error message.
Don't download that, it's only needed if you had already updated to the original 1.6.4 package. You need to get it from here:
