Hi all,

I've got a problem with with changing avatars in the user CP.

Uploading an avatar works fine, but I get the following error message when trying to use an avatar from an external URL:
It says the location is invalid, whilst it is not. I've tried using the same external url on -this- forum, and it works fine!
I'm using the latest version of MyBB.
Has anyone had this before? Is there anything I need to chmod or something?

what host are you using ?????
if you're using a free host it is possible they have disabled fetching remote files. Can you confirm with them if they have either curl, fsock or php's file functions available to free accounts?

It's not a free host, but I'll ask about the fetching remote files! Thanks.
Yep, seems to be the host. I'll wait for their response and put Solved for now.

yeah please do that,some hosts doesnot have curl or fscok available...if its the matter then change the hosting as you are still new Wink
