Howdy

One of my forum is getting spammed really bad like 20 to 30 members a day that gets banned, No matter what i do or install i just keep getting them, Dose anyone here have any thought on what i can do to stop this from happening???

Now i have three other forums and they do not get spammed nearly as much as the other one.

make difficult questions,which can be answerable by taking a 2 min time.

4. email verification method
if u do all the above you will get rid of 90% spam.
i am using it till date i have had only little spam

I have got all that already apart from stop forum spam as members where saying they could not get onto the forum when i had that on.

With stopforumspam it's important which settings you use. If you block IP addresses or if you use "match any" instead of "match all" (i.e. IP, Email, Username), it might block legitimate users.

then use a htaccess based redirects for spammers......

We used to get lots and lots of Spam bots. In fact one day we managed to get at least 100 (Now deleted though). I installed Security Questions and it has stopped since. I recommend this plugin and should be the only one as it works for me without any other type of spam bot prevention except the Captcha and Email Validation.

Use IP bans.

Make sure you have these plugins installed.

Verification questions are the only way that keeps my forum on just 1-2 human spammers per day.
Plus, I know that whoever comes through, he is really committed to his occupation. xexexe
