I have seen that Spammers now creating accounts at mybb powered forums. per day 20 + accounts creating (u can see same accounts in mybb powered forums) , they are registering and filling the date of birth fields. all the new members showing at today's birthday module. i fear if they using any scripts to register at forums. hope mybb developers will check this.

I would personally recommend you install http://mods.mybb.com/view/registration-s...y-question We had the same problem and this has solved 9/10 of the spam bot problems. An odd one may still show up but since we added it a week ago we've only had one spam bot.

for me no problem, me using some security plugins.

If you use the one I linked you too you will be fine.

well, this issue had been discussed at many threads !!
please make a search AND find the methods to combat spammers & implement them
its not myBB alone - all types of community forums are being used for spamming

I had spammers too but since I installed recaptcha II and the hot words plugin I haven't had a spam post
