I have put my email there for a test, but it wont work. Why?

And what if I want to disable this fucntion.

Go to ACP -> Tools & Maintenance -> System Logs and check if there are any messages there.

I have the same issue. I checked all the logs, and nothing in the System log. I have tried requesting passwords a few times, but received nothing. I can't find the field in the ACP to enter the email that this page sends from. I've asked about this in other threads without an answer, I just found this thread which is spot-on to my problem. I'm not going to make my BB public until I get this working!
There are some answers in this thread. But still not fixed for me.
