i was thinking along the line of when person see a large logo dose it turn them off?
Most likely. It's doesn't exactly attract members to see a huge logo ruining the layout...

There are certain properties that make a forum more user friendly.I just wanted to have them all since i'm a novice.For example:Not big logo,Not bright colors, and so on.If anyone has any tips please share.
Ask yourself this; If you were a guest first visiting the forum, what would you think about it?

Make a logo that is clearly visible and unique. Don't make it too big, and don't make it too small too.
A medium sized one, with simple but attractive design always attracts people.
