Maybe most users (mybb Admins) don´t use "portal.php" file because need some changes made to core files (Global.php) to be the forum homepage, apart from renaming it.

In 2.0 I think that should one option in AdminCP to load FORUM INDEX or PORTAL according to:

- user choice in UCP (Portal or F.Index)
- default INDEX (forced) or portal mode (forced) in AdminCP

I hope also they focus on the product as something more than a forum.

I think that if they will accept that, your suggestion are the first to be taken under consideration.

I agree the portal needs to be revamped and integrated better with the software.

+1, I know that MyBB is a board, but at the time we usually need to integrate 3rd party software to have a more functional portal... An improved built-in portal.php would be great!

I agree full heartily with you on this subject, the portal has a lot of potential that admins can and do want to utilize, some just don't have the knowledge.

Pretty much agree with everyone. The portal has served it's purpose well, but at the same time it could be improved in a few ways (none that I can list off the top of my head right now, though :/)
