You can use a rewrite rules directly, but your server supports that mod ??
If are you sure that then only put a rewrite rule like Sama34 says. And it really works, if your server don´t restrict that rule.

ok i changed the htaccess file and delete User- so it would just be domain.com/(membername)
and i fixed it in acp to make it just {url} and it brings up 404 error?
