I am using MyBB internally for my support team, I am trying to find a way that I can create a new thread without having to login to the MyBB interface, either through an API, SDK or HTTP POST

Allow guests to have permissions to post threads..
ACP > Users and Groups > Groups >Guests > Edit > and tick the option check box where it says "Can post threads"
Yes but that means they can only post by going to the forum. I'm talking about taking a feed from somewhere else and using some kind of application to automatically post new threads to the forum
