Backup files and database.
Download 1.6.4: http://www.mybb.com/download/latest
Upload all files so they overwrite current files.
Go to yoursite.com/install/upgrade.php and choose 1.6.3 from the list of versions.
Log in to the ACP and go to ACP > Templates & Style > Templates > Find Updated Templates and revert any templates here to default. if you've made intentional edits to them, click Options > View Diff Report, and make a note of your edits so you can make them again after reverting the template.
