Full Version: How do you add a plugin?

The title is pretty self explanitory :p
Well when you download a plugin, you upload all of the files in the .RAR to your root directory. If the .RAR contains a single folder that is irrelevant to MyBB, like the name of the plugin you downloaded, open that folder, and upload everything inside of that to your root directory. Once everything is uploaded, head over to Admin CP > Configuration > Plugins > Find the plugin you just uploaded > Click install & activate, or install.

P.S. Some plugins will have installation instructions.

The root directory is where you installed your forum. In it, you should find the following files:
index.php
edipost.php
captcha.php
etc

If you don't have access to the FTP, you cannot install plugins, unless the site owner installs this plugin
