I have a member who is sending harassing emails to my members. In the past he has also sent harassing private messages.

How can I prevent him from sending either email or private messages?

The only way I know how to do this is to create a new group that can’t send email or PM then put him in it. That seems like a lot of bother for just one user.

Why did you not read the original post? @OP how about a ban, or limitation perhaps? I mean it does seem like you don't like him, and he seems like a apricot member. You can't set permissions for a specific user yet.

You can create a group called something like "No PM / Email" and copy the permissions from the Registered Group.

Then remove the abilities to private message / email.

I will create a new user group, put the offending member in that group, then turn off email or PM sending privileges for that group.
