Because I have read that some plugins like Google SEO plugins won't work with 164.

Inputs?

Google SEO plugin has a modified functions.php file for myBB version 1.6.4

its better to upgrade to the latest available version. AND all files from the latest download
package need to be uploaded overwriting earlier installed files. then run the upgrade script

By the way, I noticed there is a new version of Google SEO released (160.) Should I remove the one I have and install the new one?
