ACP > Configurations > Postings > and there are 3 options;

I would like to suggest another option like this;

Yeah, why not. I think this could even go into 1.6.

Could be useful, although if you're trusting moderators with content control permission I don't see why they shouldn't have access to member's IP addresses.

I can see this being chosen more than admins and mods for new members, but I don't see many experienced administrators having problems with moderators seeing a post's IP since if they are a moderator you can only assume they are trust-worthy.
