Guys I need to understand portal page. Is it possible to make posts appeared on portal page are not appear on forum ? I just want to use portal page like posting site updates, announcements etc

Just hide the forum with the annoucement, the annoucements should still show up on portal.

how shall I hide announcements ? so that they don't appear in forum ?
