i want to add the terms of service that people have to accept before they can finish the registration, Is there a plugin or a guide to do this???

Just login ACP, goto Configuration > Languages > Options > Edit Language Variables >

Find member.lang.php and find agreement_1 ,agreement_2 and edit them with your TOS.

And when people go to http://yourdomain.com/member.php?action=register

They'd be shown I Agree thing page with your modified TOS.

I found it easier to use Page Manager to make a TOS and Privacy Policy

then edited Registration Agreement - Paragraph 5 with

By continuing with the registration process, you certify that you have read and agreed to the following<br />
<br />
[<a href="http://www.pavementsucks.com/legal.html">Terms of Service</a>]<br />
[<a href="http://www.pavementsucks.com/privacy.html">Privacy Policy</a>]

and changed the template member_register_agreement to remove all registration agreement variables except #5

I did same for my site, I created a PHP and linked to TOS's template, but as hes newbie, he might want it in simpler way.
