My forum doesn't connect to my SMTP....

i use yahoo smtp with the following settings:

• SMTP Hostname: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
  
• SMTP Port: 465
  
• SMTP Username: [email protected]
  
• SMTP Password ********
  
• SMTP Encryption SSL

Does your web host allow you ?

Yahoo doesn't allow SMTP unless you are Yahoo Mail Plus.

okay, thanks and i'm assuming that's a subscription.

Yup. You have to pay....

Use Gmail. they let you use SMTP for free.
