Hello,

First time MyBB user, first post. I have searched for documentation and posts but can't find any assistance to my issues. I hope you can help me.

Problem 1: Users and Admin are not notified of registration.

Under the configuration setup I have set "Registration Method" to "Send Email Verification" (URL: http://www.windsorknolls.net/forum/admin...ange&gid=7) which I think / thought should send the User an email to confirm their registration (like you get registering here) and then put the registration in process. What happens is NO email is sent to the User and NO email is sent to the Admin indicating a new request is in queue. If I (admin) go to check new Users, new requests are there awaiting activation and I can activate them but there are no responses to the Useres indication completion of the activation. After I (as admin) activate the User, they can log into the board but without notification of completion it does not help.

I have also tried setting Registration Method to "Administrator Activation" which I also thought post my (admin) approval, would send an email to the User indicating activation was complete but this too does not work.

I hope I have just missed something simple somewhere and you can help this newbie out.. I love the software and will become more proficient with time and your guidance (please).

p.s. I have a couple of other issues, please let me know if it’s OK to post them together OR if I should post problems separately next time.

Becasue I'm not a programmer... this is difficult for me.

Is there a some setting I've missed in the Configuration? I looked at my friends site and I have everything set the same... Any other help?

Can you check in ACP > Themes & Styles > Templates > Your Theme Templates > Footer Templates > Footer:

That the:

{$task_image}

is present in that template?

Problem solved.

I just got rid of the PHP Mail and switched to SMPT and Notifications work fine now so I'll keep this setting.

My own problem, when user register they dont get email for verification. And I have the Mail setting as PHPmail so I dont still know why they didnt get message
