Is it by default that when I post a topic in a forum and I go back to the main forum index, I see the "Forum Contains New Posts" indicator, even if it was only my post?

Not sure if this was a bug or a configuration error, so I posted it here...

Thanks
Well yes, even in 1.2, at least that's what i have been always having.

regards
I believe currently it's a limitation
Any way around it? Smile

Thanks
Hi, I'm trying to get a better understanding of how the "Forum Contains New Post" work and I have the following question:

- When does the indicator reset if the new post was his?
- Does the poster have to go to his own post to clear the new post indicator?

Sorry for the ignorance, just trying to get a better understanding on how it works.

Thanks for all the help.
Geoff
Basically what determines if the forum has a new post indicator or old post indicator is this:

If:
1) The forum last post is newer than the user's last visit, and
2) The forum last post is newer than the cookie that records when the forum was last marked 'read', and
3) There has been a post in the forum
Then: the new post indicator will show.

The cookie in #2 is set when page 1 of the forum is viewed, and there are no new posts on that page.
