Full Version: Need help - default usergroup?

Well, I've made some forums... with far over 50 subforums (not what you think Toungue)... and it has been under beta testing for a while.

Now I'd like to open it up... but giving permissions to all 50 subforums would be too much work... is there a way to give registered usergroup the permission to view all forums or make beta testers the default usergroup... The last option would be better, as I have admin-only sections, but I could password those for a while...
Well, umm you had to do them the time you were adding the forums.
there is no default group in mybb,it is the registered group by default, and also by default registered group has the permissions to see all forums unless you remove it in the process of adding a group.

if you want, you can make all new registrations go into the beta testers usergroup instead of the registred, which is done by editing member.php and replacing the 2 in

$usergroup = 2;

by the id of beta tester's group.
