This is my issue.

I am working on moving a forum for a client over to a new server, because the host he is at is going out out business.

He is using MyBB 1.4.5 and this is what i have done so far.

This is the converted forum

Have added a testforum to check that characters ÆØÅ are working properly.

It should look like this.

http://www.atcbox.net/mybbforum

On the new server the newest forum is installed and the latest version of merge.

I have tried two times with settings UTF conversion YES and Click NO if problems with characters happen.

Both times same result.

Anybody have an idea about why this happens. Only thing i can think of is problems since two different versions?

Suggestion are welcome.

This is not what the MyBB Merge System is for. It's meant to merge two forums, the other one usually being a different forum software. It's not for transferring web hosts.

You should just backup the database / files and import them over to your new web host. Also, you need to upgrade to MyBB 1.6, because we no longer support 1.4.
