It's pretty good, you may run into trouble installing it though, it's a bit iffy.

Wait, I'm actually very confused on this. I don't know where about's to start on downloading this and setting it all up. It's a pretty large file.

And upload it to the root of your MyBB installation.

mine says this:

 Query: DROP TABLE IF EXISTS ajax_chat_online; Error-Report: Error-Code: 

when I got to /chat/install.php

That's not related to MyBB. Refer to their site for support:

you need to enter database details in lib/config.php
