I am trying to get a phpbb converted to mybb,
but when i am going to run the merge pluginn,
it says :

Merge System Version: Unable to Check
Convert Logs Directory Writable: Not Writable

Where do I find this directory, so I can chmod it?

I assume that you have uploaded convert folder to myBB forum root . logs directory should be in convert .

I have put the merge folder in the root of my forum,
but there is no convert folder in the merge folder?

The logs folder is inside the merge folder itself.

Ok, thanks, I was looking to far, chmodded logs, and I am getting there!!
