I am trying to clean up a few 404 errors on my site.

It appears that the main culprit here are missing Avatars.

I am just wondering if there is a way to find missing avatars, and clean them out or revert them to a default or standard avatar?

In your avatar directory, is it linking to somthing like images/avatars/ or what ever. or does it not have a link, that could be the problem.

There is a link. And most avatars are there. It is just a handful of users who's avatars have gone missing.

I am only finding them due to firebug, but was hoping there was a standard method already in there to check.

I will just write a script to extract the links and run a check routine
