Spammers have finally taxed my moderators and myself. Yes, we have a dbl. entry captcha and question requirement but they are still getting through with their garbage.

So here is my request.

A. Can I set something that will not allow new user's to create a post until they have responded to say 10 posts.

B. All registrations must be approved by the administrator. i.e. if user T8hufd954B^&*I has registered as a new user - I will just delete their acct. If user Mary Anne has registered, I can then look further into it to see if I am interested in approving them or not.

Really REALLY tired of spammers.

Same here fade up with spamers:
A: This can't be helpful, i.e. they will reply below the posts (they usually do that instead of creating new threads)
B: ACP >> User Registration and Profile Options >> Registration Method >> Administrator Activation

That is what I was looking for. We will see how it goes with halting them using this angle.

This method is good. But your regular members will annoy, Moreover you need to be active if there are a lot of users registration (a massive work)

Naw, at best we will add 2-3 legitimate ones a week. I think part of this has to do with the fact that my (our) Google search results are SO terrible. But, cest la vie....

I know I can handle that. Should we ever hit a 1,000 a day, I will come back. LOL
