I want to integrate mybb 1.6.4 into joomla 1.7. how to do that?

not sure what you mean by integration ... see Joomla MyBB Integrator Pack

integration = add the mybb as a child of joomla main index page. Same header login and logout for both

Joomla has a iframe like feature AND any web page / site can be embedded ..
please see successfully integrated joomla 1.5 with mybb ..
