Although many people says there's an exploit, (that i haven't be able to reproduce/test)
just in safety
disable the "last threads" box, not posts, that one is fine

Even with ProPortal, it doesn't look there there is a way to get around putting mybb in to your root directory and not in some sub dir like /forums/

what about reinstalling?
or if you have cPanel (ftw)
you can set an auto redirect

Yeah I can easily reinstall I was just trying to avoid cluttering the root dir.
I am pretty sure I have cPanel, do you know where I can find the option to redirect? Sorry first website..

Go to your cPanel and find redirects.

Then put your redirect however you would like there.

best choice is to make a new install
