On my forums, people can bypass the character count just by typing 1 letter and clicking the align left twice. This means that bbcodes count towards the character count. Is there any way to make it so bbcodes don't count?

No, SPACEBAR (Space) counts, I am not sure how to disable space being counted as character, any ideas?

A setting to control this similar to signatures would be a welcome addition to MyBB. Try asking in the Plugin Request forum and see if anyone can make this for you.
