Usually you can do this through the Administration Control Panel. Edit the theme and there's a box for the logo URL/path.

that option was not given
ACP -> Templates & Style -> Options -> Edit Theme -> Edit "Board Logo"
it is not giving mee the option
Can you show a screenshot of what you see in that page?
In ACP -> Templates & Style -> Options -> Edit Theme ?
